72 GMC paint schemes
What two tone paint schemes were available from the factory for 1972 GMC's?
Please post pictures if possible.

Re: 72 GMC paint schemes
I guess by two tone I meant which sections were painted a different colour?
I have seen trucks with just the back of the cab white. I have seen the big white centre section. And both. What is correct for a 72 GMC? Thanks for the link to the chip chart. I really like the way they deny a 'right click'! I am looking at colours and really like the two tone commonly found on Chevrolets. So today I went looking on the internet for a picture of a GMC with this paint scheme to post in Photoshop to ask to have the colours I would like changed. BUT I could not find a 71/72 GMC SWB with this two tone scheme.

Re: 72 GMC paint schemes
Mine was two tone dark green/white. The top of the cab was white from the hinge pillars in the front to the chrome trim strip below the back window, then the background area around the "GMC" embossed tailgate letters was painted white with black letters. I think this paint scheme was pretty common with the GMC fleet work trucks like mine.

Re: 72 GMC paint schemes
There were solid and three two-tones,like Chevys:Conventional(top was accent color),Custom(top/below belt-line accent color),and Deluxe(top/center of side between moulings).White was the accent color for all colors.A few other combinations in Custom were available, like Med.Olive/Dark Olive,Med.Olive/Grapefruit both reversible, and Red-Orange/Black.
