C-20 driveshaft stub shaft
I need a new end on my driveshaft, the stub shaft that goes into the tranny.
It's for a 62 C-20 with the 3 speed manual tranny. The stub O.D. that slides into the tranny is 1-1/2". Does anyone know what all trucks or cars used the same stub shaft, so I can ease my search for one? For some reason it appears that the gear lube wasn't getting into the tranny tail housing to lubricate the stub shaft, bushing, and seal, and the stub got chewed up. Thanks, Tom |

Re: C-20 driveshaft stub shaft
Don't know for certain, but you might check the 60-66 C-20 series. I would recommend checking with a driveshaft shop and see what they can do to rebuild yours.

Re: C-20 driveshaft stub shaft
Thanks for your reply Fred. My son found a new stub shaft yesterday from a local Chevy enthusiest. Now we're just waiting for the new tranny output bushing to arrive in the mail.
