my meaningless little twin brother to your truck is so jealous its green with envy. yours is sooooo AWESOME!!!!!! mine on the other hand is a poor old beat up farm truck that has been rode hard & put up wet. but at night it has dreams of one day looking like yours. (I know it has these dreams, it leaves a wet spot on the ground. LOL)
thank you for the inspiration, kepp the pics rolling.

It is nice to see another 910 floating around out there. That is what I started out with now it has 930 badges on it though. To find out the production numbers for your truck you can phone GM and they will mail you off quite the information packet pertaining to your truck for the paultry sum of $48.15 including GST. I got the one for my truck and was very impressed. Although my truck only came with a 250 I6, 3 on the tree.

That's a Great Looking Truck! Can't wait to see more Pics!!!

I too did as James, called up GM, paid with my Visa, got the package about 5 weeks later I think. I was pleasently surprised at what info was offered. I mean knowing where my Truck was sold new and how many others like it were produced in that year put a nice grin on my face.

i am interested in thos #'s because this truck is a little different, it was not an ordered truck by the dealer to sell off the lot. it was ordered by the first owner who called up gm and said what he wanted, because of some of the options in the truck, like it has the tach, power steering and power brakes but no a/c which was part of that package. its a canadian truck and also i havnt seen many 910's on this site, i have seen 68 gmc's but they dont have 910 badges on them, what does this mean??? i will have more pics on sunday so keep coming back and i love the support and help, and if you have any tips or info keep it coming.

There was a thread a while back ago on this.

910 = Canadian built GMC 1/2 t
1500 = US built GMC 1/2 t

920 is a 3/4 t and 930 is a 1 t, the numbers go up into the bigger trucks as well. I found a fender last winter with a 950 emblem on it.

Good luck with your truck!!

Just to add to what James has said. In another thread on this similiar subject (Canadian Badges) I think it was believed that even by the 69 model years they may have started to switch over to the 1500-2500-3500 series type badges.

I can say that they did in fact switch by 71/72. I talked two local owners of GMC's, one a highly optioned truck and the other being a bare bones work truck both had 1500 seires badges from birth...lol.

Hope this helps...

Brian

In 1970 they switched the style badges. I have a spare 910 I had listed in my emblems for sale post.

I'd get a hold of GM Vintage services for the numbers on that type truck produced in Canada...just to find out if there was another.
Here's link with ph#'s and such.

That's a great truck.

Beatiful looking truck, will you be driving on a regular basis or nice weather only. I am hoping to have my truck on the road by next summer and want to bring it on vacation to Penticton & Kelowna in Aug.
