BB kickdown switch. ????

i have a 71 BB truck and i finally figured out what the switch was by my gas pedal.
SO HOW EXACTLY DOES THIS THING WORK ?????????? the wires are there and its plugged in but i dont know if they are connected to anything after that. where are they supposed to go ?

There are only two wires to the kickdown switch. The red power wire connects to the fuse panel at the "Ignition Unfused" location. The other wire routes through the fiewall down to the TH 400 on the left side and connects to the detent switch.

so its not cable actuated off the carb like ive seen on my camaro etc. ??

The Camaro you are taking about probably has a TH350 in it. Those are cable operated for the kickdown and the TH400 is electric.
