two alternators pros-cons
what are the pros & cons of having two alts. i really have nothing on the truck that needs anything extra, but i was thinking it might give more consistant voltage having two of them.

One good one will beat two bad ones any day....
The voltage consistency is a function of the regulator.

I don't see a whole lot of point in it. Especially in a truck without a whole lot of stuff. For consistency check the voltage regulator. Get one of the more expensive $40. Not one of the integrated, sealed up cheap $14 ones. They burn out real quick.
Also you could get an alternator that produces more power. ------------------ Nick Rodenberg Wellington, MO http://nickrod.port5.com You can click on "My 72 Chevy Truck" I have a 72 Cheyenne 10 with a V8 350 and a TH-350 auto-tranny. White/Ochre/White Runs well... working on body. Hoping to have completed in March when I turn 16
