Guess My Weight.....Please

Who can tell me the approximate weight of a 1972 Cab and front clip still together, with rad support, 4 row radiator, AC lines, compressor, condenser and under dash unit, bench seat, carpet, doors, grill, hood, and all glass in place??

I'll be lifting this off the frame as a unit this week and need to know about how much it all weighs.

Not sure on weight, but a good cherry picker should handle it. Might be a bit lopsided...

There's only four bolts per side that hold the fenders on the cab, I would split it up, but I don't have AC, I assume you don't want open the system, it will be front heavy. we just pulled the longbox on my 70 minus tailgate with 4 guys, guess full front clip and cab would weigh more, get 6 or 7 guys and supply the beer, that might work.

I would say at least 750 to maybe a thousand lbs. You could use an engine hoist if it would go high enough for you. Rig up some strapping through the roof and door and some how around the front fenders under the wheelhouses maybe.

Here's the way I'm going to do it, try to picture this in your mind until I get pics of the actual process:

1. I'm going to lift the entire truck up in the air with the bottom of the cab about 4 ft. off the ground with the in-ground, single post car lift in my shop.
2. While it's up there, I'm going to use a 3" wide recovery strap to go thru the doors (windows open ), and up to an I beam with a 2 ton come-a-long attached between them for 'insurance'.
3. I'll be making up a triple 2 x 6 x 10 ft. to go thru the open windows and rest against the top of window frames with padding.
4. Here's the cool part, under the ends of the 2 x 6 beam will be a 2 ton capacity safety stand on each side of the truck ( the kind that mechanics use while working under a lifted vehicle to support trannys or whatever.) So one of these stands outside of each door on the side of the cab.
5. Then I will hook up my 2 ton engine hoist to the front rad support when the truck is at the 4 ft. off the groung level. So now the cab and front clip are supported by the 'thru the doors' beam and the engine hoist at the front of the clip.
6. After unhooking all of the wires, hoses, cab bolts and rad support bolts, steering rag joint, and whatever else I can find, (probably will do this before the truck is raised up there), I'll slowly let the in-ground lift down and hopefully the cab and front clip will remain suspended in the air so that the chassis can be rolled out from under it.
7. My plan is to then slowly lower the cab/clip down onto a flat bed snowmobile trailer that I borrowed from a neighbor, and roll it away to another area until I get the engine, tranny and all of the other goodies out of the 2wd chassis and into the 4x4 frame.

What do you guys think of my plan?? What am I forgetting?? Rather know about it now than later on today when I actually start the process.
