Skid Plate Placement
Getting my skid plate and secondary crossmember back from the
Powdercoaters this coming week, my question is this, I assume I will have to be drilling holes for the crosssmember, but is there a measurement to go by, don't think the holes are there, my setup did not come with this rig, any tricks or tips, thanks in advance. Transmission is a Turbo 350, T. Case is a NP205, Pic attached

Re: Skid Plate Placement
I have a skid plate down in my garage but for the life of me I can't remember removing it from my daughters Blazer. I would have to go look to see if there are holes for it.

Re: Skid Plate Placement
I hope I measured what you need from the center of the last bolt in the trans cross brace to the center of the first bolt in the cross member for the skid plate is 9 ¾ the hole is 1 3/8 from the inside of the frame.

Are there holes in the Trans crossmember for the plate? If so, you could bolt the plate in its place on both x-members and then use the frame holes in the 2nd cossmember to determine where to drill the frame. Just a thought. Davy

Re: Skid Plate Placement
When I get my CheyenneSuper restored someday,I`ll be putting the gnarliest Swampers and lockers on/in it.Probably weld some cleats on the trailer ramps, too.I`d hate to have it slip off while loading it.Are you chroming or powdercoating the tow hooks?Ever consider teflon?Make sure you spray Pam on the rocks first. You`ll be aight!
