WTB-Clean A/C Dash

Like the title states, I am looking for a clean, non-chopped A/C dash for my newly aquired 69. Must have clean radio holes. Preferrably on the West Coast.

Oh yea, also four (or five) 5 lug 15" factory Rallye wheels (again, prefer to get them on the West Coast to not get killed on shipping)

Mike

I have the a/c dash that I bought a while back, but I'm not going to need it as I will be doing aftermarket heat and a/c. The dash is very nice and I believe cut off at the windshield which gives you a little room to play with. $100 shipped. Randy

Re: WTB-Clean A/C Dash

Well maybe I need to tone it down so this is the edited version. Basically paid $75 for a dash that should have been thrown away. I just spent 6 hours cutting the rust out and repairing the dents in of the bottom of it.

Here are the rust holes.....This just an all around bad deal! 6T8, wish you would have informed me on the damage.

Re: WTB-Clean A/C Dash

By the number of posts I see you are still new I would encourage you to edit your post the folks on here are very serious about keeping it squeeeeeeky clean and will give you grief over it. I do understand your frustration and hope you have better luck with the next deal. I must tell you getting boned here is pretty rare because the mods are pretty quick to ban any bad sellers, just my 2 cents later Mike aka muddyole 69

Re: WTB-Clean A/C Dash

muddyole 69,

You are right, I was venting. If the dash looked like it did, I would have hated to know what the rest of the truck looked like.

I am an avid Ebayer with 545 100% positive feedbacks and only had a few small problems. My very first deal on here and it's sour....I always prepare myself for this kind of thing happening but, it still gets to me.

Re: WTB-Clean A/C Dash

The other side of the story is I e-mailed pics and was told it had some holes but would make it work. Then was told he found rust after he started sanding on it. Guess I should have sanded primered and installed it also. Anybody who has ever removed a dash knows its not easy. Maybe he should have bought one from dealer. Sure wouldn't have got it for $75 delivered in 2 days. Just trying to help another member out. Sorry..........Rick

Re: WTB-Clean A/C Dash

I know the rust would have been hard to see, but the fact that an elephant walked on nearly the entire bottom was too obvious, only if a person was blind would he miss it.

I do praise the fact that you did ship it quickly but, c'mon...Did you even look at the bottom of it? 6 hours wasted.

I am over it, learned a valuable lesson. Lets move on to funner, happier things, like working on our trucks.
