Removing crossmember?
Since I've got all of my suspension taken out, I wanted to go ahead and blast/paint the cross member.
It looks like the motor mount stands bolt to the xmember and the frame...if this is the case, is it ok to pull the xmember right out, or do I need to prop the motor up somehow? |

to be more safe pull the motor and then take out the x member

Ugh, that's what I was afraid you'd say. These new houses have such small garages. I have my garage packed with two vehicles on stands and parts everywhere, the only place I can fit the hoist in under the truck (in pieces) lol.

lol most new homes have garages made just for parkin cars in ,around here .
 most of them you cant even get a truck in the door  at least you can get your truck in the garage  i have to do all my work in the drive way i dont have a garage yet but one i hope to have one

Man, I don't know what the people are thinking that design these things. THe last house in my neighborhood is being built and it pains me to say it...it's the only one with a 3 car garage. My wife did let me close in the formal living room which is next to the garage and put double doors from there into the garage. Now I actually have a shop
