Re: A quick thanks..

Thanks Russel. I am going to rebuild the other 350 as a project. My oldest son wants it for his 63 ford.. I will be starting with the bearings. As they where what went on that motor. The ditrubuter was the biggest challenge yesterday. As I kept missing by 180 but always ended up on the first piston. just lucky i never had to crank it by hand. finally got it 4th time lucky. What a feeling of accomplishment... yahooo..
The oil in that motor was thick like glue.so I'll have to do a oil change again in about a week, other then that it sounds good..
I will be on here for more advise. Great site.. and nice changes since i have been gone. looks good.. J

Man, I've put in and taken out my distributers dozens of times, and I still put it in 180 out most of the time, lol

Re: A quick thanks..

lol.. well now i can laugh cause i know whats its like.. I also learned that you can change the wires on the cap to match up instead of taking off the distributar again....makes it a bit easier, finally did that in the end..

Re: A quick thanks..

The guys on the forum get after me for doing that for some reason, lol

Works good enough for me though!

I've also got a small cap HEI, so its tough to tell that I put all the wires on 180 degrees out last time, lol
