1960-66 engine?
hello everyone,
i'm rebuilding a head on what i think is a 1965 0r 66 c30 truck. my probelm is that i cannot find any information on the engine. i've tried some of the sites that claim to have engine code listings but i cannot find any references to the engine numbers that are on my block. here are the numbers: the first one is F081 8CBA. then under this number are the numbers 12L106351. any help would be greatly appreciated. brent |

Give me the casting number off the rear of the block and I probably have some info. The heads will also have a cast in number under the valve covers. Others may be able to decipher your stamped numbers.

For a 66 small truck 283 V8, correct block casting numbers are 3849852, 3849935, 3896944, 393288-----for 327 V8 -- 3892657, 3782870, 3903352, 3789817, 3858174, and 3892657. I do not have truck engine info on W blocks or 6 cylinders for that model year.
