Re: New Guy here...
I also agree with the humble suggestions to leave it a 4x4. 2wd burbs are a dime a dozen compared to the 4x4 burbs. You could come out ahead on one for the other except for the time spent. You know your time and budget needs better than us.
Great to hear you've already got crackin' on it. ![]()

Re: New Guy here...
Wow thanks for all the input. The truth is, I can't find a 2wd Burb or Blazer here in Colorado. And with gas prices and the economy I couldn't give away this big beast even with all the hunters, campers and 4x4 guys around here. My buddy that is helping me with all the work specializes in 67-72 restoration and even he can't locate a cheap one(2wd) anywhere near what I paid for mine. He has a 3/4 ton, big block, 2wd Burb that he won't sell for any price. He already shortened it and chopped it(looks incredible).
I already have every nut and bolt from a 2wd truck front end to convert it over to 2wd and I have another T350 tranny out of one of my buddies cars ready to go it the Burb too. If anybody has a relatively nice 2wd and wants to contemplate a trade I'm all ears ![]() I won't be hacking into the front end or suspension anytime soon so if a deal comes along the 4 wheel drive will still be intact for a while Thanks again for the welcome. Mark More pics for you guys ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
