Re: Ebay

Great burb!

I think you all were right to notice that the underside may not have received much attention other than painting/undercoating. That sure would be a bummer to find rust upon pick up or have some soon come thru only a year or so after buying it.

That burb does have an aftermarket air system, right? Just noticed that the heater controller is for a non-A/C truck.

Also, would that 700R4 hold up to that ZZ454 in a 4x4? It won't be doing drag racing, but I would expect it to be used for towing.

Re: Ebay

I love the wheels. Does anybody know where I can find these on the web? I have been trying to decide what wheel to put on my truck once time comes and I think I found them.

Yes it is an aftermarket a/c system. It has vents under the dash. The 67-71 had non a/c controllers with factory a/c.They had the tunnel that ran the lenth of the roof with the a/c switch overhead,in the end of the tunnel.
There are places that build 700's that are supposed to hold up to BB power, but Super Chevy has stated a few times that they could not find any to hold up to regular abuse in thier project cars. They use 4L80's when they want overdrive.

There's nothing else going on in the burb forum, so I thought I'd kick this thread up...

3 days to go and the latest bid is just over $15,000. One question I have. All the bidders are private. No ebay register name listed. Why is that and can anyone have a private ebay "name"?

Re: Ebay

The person who lists the item can request that the bidders ID be kept private.Anyone who bids, thier id will not be shown.Someone can contact you and say,"I have a suburban just as nice, but for less money."A private auction will keep that from happening. Also a lot of "adult" items are kept private.

Interesting rationale on its usefulness.
