Tach Repair

Any tachometer experts? Tach needle sits on 1K all the time. Never moves even when I start/turn off the engine. Have been told it's a bad "tach filter".

Any insight, recommendations for repair would be greatly appreciated. JC

Re: Tach Repair

I have heard of a place that fixes factory tachs, but it is costly. I don't remeber who it was that fixed them, but the guy(a member) said he paid in the area of $150 to have it fixed. maybe that person will see this and jump in and tell us where he got it fixed...Randy

Re: Tach Repair

I've fixed a few that did that. Usually stuck. And I can reset them back to Zero also.
