Suggestions on Tranny paint color please

On my frame off I have decided to change the color I plan to paint my truck. As well I am now changing my engine color from red to chevy orange. What about the tranny? What color do you suggest for this frame off restoration? The alum. color appears to be hard to find that looks "real". Black would be easy to do.
WHAT SAY YOU MY FRIENDS......WHAT COLOR DO YOU SUGGEST?

I believe I would go with the cast aluminum paint. It looks very close to the aluminum trans. housing. Most auto stores should have it or as a last resort, Eastwood will have it. They sell good stuff, the shipping can get expensive.

I agree, some type of aluminum colored paint would look best.

when i worked for a local body shop in kentucky we used a "Cast Blast" color in a spray can made by Seymour. it gives it a nice cast aluminum color and it is very durable!

Painted mine chassis black (semi-gloss). Whatever color you choose, preparation is the key to a long lasting paint job. Also, if you use a self-etching, expoy primer to start with you'll get the best results possible.

Re: Suggestions on Tranny paint color please

I used the Rustoleum Hammered paint in aluminum color, looks pretty good to me.

Does anyone have a picture of a transmission painted the same colour as the engine?
