Might these wheels/tires fit ?
Fit a 1970 6 lug stock height truck that is ?? Found these, they are off of a 2005 1500 - 17 inch 6 lug with 265/70 tires. I think the center hub size may be to small, I can't tell if they are aluminum or not, if aluminum I could have the center bored to fit I think, but mainly wondering what the back space and rim width might be, I know many have to much backspace for our trucks, and would that tall of tire clear especially on front ? I was thinking a 265/65 might be better, Any thoughts ? I really like the looks of those, Thanks

Re: Might these wheels/tires fit ?
I know the hub hole will be too small, I'm pretty sure the backspacing will be off, and I ran 33's (with about 50 percent tread) on my half ton with no issues, but I
don't know if that helps or not.

Re: Might these wheels/tires fit ?
hub bore will be too small for sure. You'll have to take your axles out and have the hub flanges machined down to 3" to accept those wheels. Your stock hub bore is approx. 3-1/2". BTW, those wheels are steel, and machining the wheels is the wrong way to do it. Machine the axles and you'll never have to worry about what wheels you want to run again. Also, krue is right about the backspacing. Especially out back as the tires will rub your inner fenderwells. Backspacing is too much.

Re: Might these wheels/tires fit ?
Back space for our trucks should be around 3" and the new trucks are about 5". the rears will rub and you might have interferance with you front suspension and steering componenets as well. You could try whell spacers...On second thought 2" is too much for a spacer, just pass on them.
