lowering my truck

I want to lower my truck 3 in the front and 5 in the rear. Ive seen coil springs that can do this. Will the suspension on the front be ok if I put just the 3"drop springs in it or will it handle and drive like crap. I plan getting a full front end rebuild kit while Im at it. Help me out please on the best/cheapest way to lower my truck while also doing it right. I cant afford air bags or any of that. If you can, I would like to check out some websites with this stuff on it if you know of any. Thanks guys.

Re: lowering my truck

Moved to SUSPENSION

I have heard there are alignment issues using 3" front drop springs instead of spindles. I think one or two have posted they had no issues.

I would take advantage of the current technology out there and do a front spindle drop

The two sites who come to mind are www.earlyclassic.com & www.classicperform.com

I went with the Early Classic 4/6 drop kit. Their customer service is A #1

Re: lowering my truck

Do you have pics of the 4/6 drop? Did you have to cut anything? I am very interested, thanks!

There's also McGaughy's. www.mcgaughys.com They specialize in suspension kits and are very high quality. I run their springs in my '67 and my '03. I would also recommend their drop spindles. They are one of the best out there and have won numerous SEMA awards for them.
