anybody running a crane xr-1 conversion?

...anybody running a crane cams xr-1 electronic ignition conversion?..just wondered if anyone had any problems with it.....seems like a cheap way to go with a rev limiter...thanks.....

Like you, I though it looked like a pretty slick deal with the rev limiter and all. I bought one, but never installed it....went with hei instead. So I can't tell you how well it works.

A friend of mine is running one on his 72 Corvette. He is very happy with it. The rev limiter works good.

I thought about buying the Crane xr-1 kit, but my distributor needs new bushings, advance canister and and the mech. advance curve reset for the 383. Anyone know where I can buy the distributor main shaft bushings?

Theres nothing I didn't like about the XR-1 conversion, just decided hei would work better for my situation. I never even opened the box that the XR-1 came in, so nothing to really dislike about it (I still have it sitting out in the garage)!!
