Wanted: rear door handle for 67 Panel
I have the cargo doors on the rear of my '67 Panel truck. I am looking for a decent, usable rear door handle assembly.
The side door handles will not work due to the rear doors requiring a longer acuator piece. Anyone have one for me? Thanks, Joe |

I may have one for you. Let me see if I can dig it up and I'll send you a pic.

Hey if you can't find one you can use a regular right side door handle but you have to use the same button from your old on I had to do this too.

Yeah, I already had a spare RH handle, but I need the button/lever mechanism for the rear door.
Right not I have no handle at all on my rear door. |

Re: Wanted: rear door handle for 67 Panel
Here's one solution to consider....when replacing the rear door handle on our BURB/barn doors (and as you mentioned in your post) I too discovered that the lock release actuating rod for the rear door required more length (approximately 1/4" more) than the driver or passenger doors rods required. I disassembled a new right side door handle, removed the actuating rod and welded a rod on to the end of the now disassembled new actuating rod. Cut to length (approximately 1/4" more was added to the rod) and it now works like a champ! Problem solved and we now have a new outside right side door handle on the BURB cargo door!!.....hope this helps.
