Need pic of motor mount towers

Another board member says my towers are installed wrong. Anyone else has theirs mounted like this? Any pics of it installed right? Thanks, Jeff.

My truck's a 2WD with the motor in the forward position, so it's not quite the same as yours, but the picture shows how the motor towers sit on the top of the chassis rail.

Both my 69 K20 and my 70 K5 have the crossmember installed just like yours.

Re: Need pic of motor mount towers

Here is a pic from the 69 K20. I don't even see how the upper part could be placed over the frame. If it was, then the bottom part wouldn't touch the bottom of the frame without some type of spacer.

Re: Need pic of motor mount towers

Maybe there are two different types of mounts? I looked at the assembly manual, and it shows them like we have ours YJ.

Your 70K5 is stock and unmolested right? Mine came to me in pieces, so I don't know how it was originally.

red71C....your mounts look OK to me.

Thanks for the clear picture..it is easy to see what you are talking about, and I know clear pix are not always easy to get.
