well.........got your attention,
the screw siz for the metal door panels in a '71 c10, and what is the size for the bolt hole for the shoulder seatbelt connection above the seats on the pillar.........all help is like eating whipped cream straight from the tub......it is so sweet...

I'm pretty sure the door panel screws are 1/4-28 (fine thread, UNF). The problem is that they have a very tiny little Phillips flat head on them for that size of the thread. You won't be able to find an exact match at a hardware store.

Do you need screws or captive nuts for the door panels? The size is 1/4x20 for both the door panel and the arm rest screws. I bought a whole bag of the captive nuts from some place on here once. Only replaced the ones on the Blazer arm rests though. The door panel ones are a little different design and just cleaned them up with a 1/4-20 tap and they are fine. Let me know if you want some of these captured nuts though. They are just catching dust in my garage. Jeff.

dose anyone have pics of the 70-71 door panels from ''gmcpauls'' that are ""vinyl on vaccum formed plastic panels"" what do these look like, do they seal the access holes in the door so rain will do get to the interior?......pics front and rear would be a help.

No Red, I didn't change them. That was the tap that fit the best. If they are supposed to be 1/4-28 it doesn't make sense though. I bought the captive nuts from a company that specializes in them. The link to the company I got here, but I can't remember who posted it. Its been a couple of years ago too. But anyway, they are 1/4-20 and that was supposed to be original. If anyone else can check theirs, maybe we can get a consensus on it. I'm not saying pj is wrong, just that mine are all 1/4-20. Jeff.

I am wrong. You're right, red71cheyenne, it is 1/4-20 for the door panel screws. I had one that had messed up threads and I had to take it to work to borrow a 1/4-20 die to chase the threads. I have a 1/4-28 die at home that wouldn't fit. Sorry about the confusion.
