Cool Need ideas for delivering a truck

Freebie- 1969 c/10 shortbed need to haul it to AZ

Any recommendations getting this thing to Arizona. I am getting quotes to deliver that are outrageous. I am almost willing to drive back and pick it up myself. Any companies you guys would recommend using.

Thanks. Jones

Re: Need ideas for delivering a truck

I found this on the site Yesterday's Tractor. It's a hauling schedule of empty trucks looking for loads and people looking for haulers.

Re: Need ideas for delivering a truck

I have used commercial 8 car transport services, as well as board member Crews and a couple haulers from the ytmag site.
I will say that I couldn't be any happier with Crews work! The price is right, and he has taken very good care of my stuff. I was trying to count how many times he has been to my house in the last couple years... I think it is 4? or 5? My wife says next time he shows up, he better be hauling something away!! (Dont worry Joe, I have saved up enough credits to cover another "surprise delivery"!)
Crews gets my first call anytime I need something hauled.

Re: Need ideas for delivering a truck

maybe find a dealer around you and ask if they have any cars coming in or a repair shop that buys off ebay if there heading that way if you have them deliver your truck you might get a better deal theyll be making gas money on the way to and picking up on the way back

Re: Need ideas for delivering a truck

Trucks can be a problem as they usually are not running!! Now personally, I will deliver corvette's, Porsche's etc. for free anywhere in the US. They must be driveable and no guarantee they will be running once delivered. You just pay my expenses---fuel, food, track fee's, etc. (:>)

Try:
Able Auto Transports
1-800-340-0951
We use these guys all the time. Best price we have found. Very professional. They will ship enclosed, open trailer, running or not running.
Worth a call.

Re: Need ideas for delivering a truck

The last few times I needed something transported I looked in Hemmings. I called people who were based either near where the vehicle to pick up was or near me - I was always able to find someone who had a partial load going that direction or someone who had a one way load and could avoid dead-heading. Worth a shot.

There are guys who go out to CA or AZ to bring rust free vehicles back to salt country, maybe one has room going the other way.
