desperatly need info on my 87 blazer
i got an 1987 s10 blazer. 2 wheel drive 2.8 liter ....my transmission was acting up like it would run like 3,000 rpms or more and never shift ... so i parked it put on blocks and put a used trans in it. the trans i got is out of a 1987 s10 4 wheel drive. i took the shifter off and installed it on my blazer matched up perfectly drove it almost every evening now for a weak just down the road and it is doing the same exact thing as the old one . when you accelerate it doesnt shift gears. can any one help me please
i dont know but i wonder if this isnt something mechanical but electrical somehow? any help would be great |

Is your TV cable hooked up and adjusted properly? That is the first place I would look.

dont know . how do i find out. i unhooked the electrical wires from the trans and i couldnt tell any difference.....i do need to find out whats up this is two transmissions now

1987 blazer info
i switched transmissions and the second one is doing the same as the first one. you can floor it and it will never shift a gear. this is two trans now that are doing the same exact thing. can anyone help me

tv cable help/adjustment/replacement
i replaced the transmisssin on my blazer a 87 2.8 liter.
the first tranny you could accelerate a few thousand rpms and would never shift a gear. the second one that i put in is the same way. someone said that the tv cable needed adjustment how do i do it or is it as simple as just buying a new cable and putting it in |

i have tried to adjsut my tv cable accorting to the info on the bowtie websiteand still no change still wont shift at all. fluid good, no leaks, now what. i cant figure this one out at all. no clue what so ever is a cable problem or electrical. there is an electrical connection on the tranny but i dont know what it does. some one please help me
