15x8 255/60/R15?
Long time no posting by me, i know.
 Today i went by my local shop and ordered my Baja's... 15x8 polished aluminum. I forwent the chrome bc it saved me $150 and it'll be shiney enough. Plus a lil lighter (not that i'm counting weight). So 255/60/R15 would be a beefy enough looking tire? I want people to look and see that I got wide rims, but on the other hand, i don't wanna look like a drag racer. I done posted once having sizes explained and done forgot again :-p but i know that a 255/60 is supposed to be wider than my 235/75s and about the same height. Your thoughts are much appreciated. And I'll definately post pics when I get the tires... after i get the wheels... :-p Probably around this weekend or next Monday.

275/60's usually fit great on a 15x8 and fill out the wheelwells quite well. 255 will look good , but the 275's will give a real muscular look.and fill out a little more.

Yes, 255/60s are wider than 235/75s. (The first number is the width of the tire in mm. To convert into inches, multiply by 0.03937. BTW, the width is the tire cross section and not the tire thread width.) So, for 15" wheels, 235/75s are 28.9" in diameter with about 6.4" of sidewall showing whereas 255/60s are 27" in diameter with about 5.5" of sidewall showing. ( Formula: (TireWidth*TireSeries*2/2540) + WheelDiameter), i.e. (255*60*2/2540)+15 ). The 275/60s that Slammed66 suggested is about 28" in diameter with about 6" of sidewall showing. Numbers aside, it may be better to see some examples.
 To see the actual specs of tire brands, visit the tire rack site, follow the 'Tires by Size' link and plug in your tire size(s). Good luck on your decision. BTW, how did you front suspension rebuild go?

The first picture is of a 255/60R15, and the second is of a 275/60R15, both on 15x8 rims. In my opinion 275s look a little too wide for front wheels. Also the sidewall will lean a little bit. I think 255s fit a 15x8 rim perfectly.

Since your truck is not lowered, I would go with 255/70/15. They will fill the wheelwells better than the 60 series, since they are a little taller. That is what I run on my 8" wheels. See the pics...
