I have seen several posts on the board that states that all three of the brake components: the power booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve all have to be the same brand. IE: Delco Morine, or Bendix. Is this in fact true and what is the problem with a mismatch. I have a Delco Morine booster and prop vale with with a Bendix master cylinder. The unit is not installed on the vehicle yet so I could switch out the M/C if I have to. Can someone shed some light on this subject for me. Thanks

There is a problem with the rod length and master cylinder does not fit the booster properly.

There might be exceptions where you can make it work but our practice is to match the MC with the booster.

I've never had a problem running different rebuilders. I could see different model types I.E corvette with a truck booster, but rebuilders?

I know for a fact I have mixed them up. Bought them at different parts stores that carried different lines. Never had a problem.

Where are the names stamped on the master cylinder and prop valve? I have looked all over em and can't find one. I have manual brakes and want to add power.
