Turn signal switch. Best place to buy?

I need a new switch for my non tilt column. I think the column is a 67, but I don't think that makes a difference with this part, truck is a 71. I have seen them in some of the catalogs for around $25. I only want to tear the column apart one time. Looking for best place to buy a quality unit that I can depend on.

Re: Turn signal switch. Best place to buy?

I bought mine through GM years ago and have never had a problem with it. I look at it this way you pay for what you get. Quality normally goes hand in hand with price. The lower the price, the lower the quality. The higher the price the beter the quality.

I really have no idea. I bought mine almost 8 years ago.

My dealer in Ft Worth still stock them. They used them way up into the 90's on step vans.

Re: Turn signal switch. Best place to buy?

The GM turnsignal switches now have the flat plug and require you to purchase the conversion piece to be able to use them on our trucks. We have the switched with the half moon plugs in stock for both standard and tilt columns. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Re: Turn signal switch. Best place to buy?

matt67350, I have seen it on their website but it is special order. How does the quality look? Did it come with the adapter harness? BTW, on the website, it shows to be $38

I found the switch on the site. However, the picture shows a flat plug. I did not see an adapter listed. Does it come with it? If not, can you give me the link to it?

Re: Turn signal switch. Best place to buy?

GMC Paul's carries the correct switch with the half-moon plug and the red hazard knob for $35.95, part number 132882. I bought one a couple months ago, works great, fits great, and the little red button looks better than that newer pull-style black one anyway!
