Will newer year engine cradle fit in my '67?

As you can see from the pic the previous owner decided to do a poor job of modifying the engine cradle for me. Someone told me tat looks like the one for a six cyl.,well I need one that a 350 crate will bolt to.My ? is can I use one from say a '73-87 4x4 ,I do have to get one from a 4x4 right? None of the yards around here have any '67-72 4x4 frame parts.

There is a 71 K10 4X4 for $500 in yesterdays Star-Trib paper. Complete truck for parts. V8, spd manual, not running if I remember right from last week when I called him.

I might be able to hook you up with one. Talked to a guy this week who is putting a 1997 diesel in his and has to get a different mount. PM me. Looks like thats set up for a 292 six the way it is.

As far as I know, All the way up to 87 should work. The whole front suspension, cross member and everything is the same!

cradle

Well I suppose I should try some local yards around here and see if I could measure one from a newer truck.I really wont know if it will work or not though 'cause I dont have the engine yet. If it fits between the frame rails you would think it would work right?

Post it in the parts section. I thought that I was going to need one and found several guys here that had the whole cradle for reasonable $$
