Dual exhaust for my 88 ???

Heard the baffles rattling in my muffler today so it's geting time for some exhaust work. Body isn't to good so I don't want to spend alot. Has stock 305 TBI and single exhaust with cat. Does anyone make an "offroad" dual exhaust kit that I can bolt on ? Or would a single exhaust minus the cat do pretty good ? I would like to make it just a little louder than stock., and remove some restrictions. Should I just have the local muffler shop build me some duals and /or fix the single ? They said one time if the cat just happens to fall off in my driveway they could, well, "fix" that. Thanks in advance.

Pretty much any bolt-on system you can buy is gonna be a cat-back. They are all really good mandrel bent systems that usually cost about the same as a muffler shop bent system, and are very easy to install at home. Look at Flowmaster or Gibson. If you do go with a cat back system, have the muffler shop build a bolt in piece to replace it in case your state does crackdown on emissons. If you do get a shop to build a system, try and find one that can do mandrel bending. It is worth a little extra power and mileage.
