Heater/Temp. Problem

My engine temp never gets up above 180 degrees i just put a 195 thermstat in. I was told that should read 210 on my gauge. Before i put it in it would only get to 160 degrees. I just want some Hot air out of my vents. Could my heater core be clogged?

Re: Heater/Temp. Problem

Could be. It could also be one of the valves that shutoff water to the core. Feel and see if you input line is hot and then if the output is warm. That is as scientific as I can get at this point.
