Lowering my 69 Shortbed Stepside

I was wondering if there are ways of lowering my 69 without spending 300 dollars on lowering springs? I am wanting to lower it 3 inches front and back.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

There's always the torch method but it is highly discouraged .

Likewise with coil cutting.

I've heard front coil cutting is OK, (not the best). Heating=bad. Cheapest=rear lowering blocks/bolts and cut front springs. I'd post this in the suspension forum.

Cutting coils will work, but will stiffen the ride. Check out ECE's 2/4 drop only $379
