Avatar 101 ?
Well, kinda. I don't think I ever introduced myself. I mostly just read the posts that are of interest to me whenever I have the time to spare. I live in Northern Indiana. Have several toys. One, I'm currently restoring. My 1978 Chevy Cheyenne 3/4 ton 4X4. I'm finishing up the back half now, as this is my plow truck and I'll need it when the snow comes. I've been trying to set-up an avatar of my truck, but can't seem to come up with a clear image. I shrunk it down to 100x100 pixels, but it's all distorted looking. Can anyone point me in the direction of a help article, please ? 78K20 |

Re: Avatar 101 ?
Wish I could help but I am not good at this stuff. My wife set all mine up for me (yes I can admit that). I would recommend posting in the general discussion board to get more responses. Good Luck and happy posting!

Re: Avatar 101 ?
Actually you don't need to do anything. The new software will resize it for you. Instead of browsing and selecting the resized pic, just choose the fullsize pic and it will resize it for you.
BTW- The reason your opic is distorted is because you are forcing the second number when you resize to 100x100. If you let the software pick the second number for you it wil be 100x??? and won't distort. If the second number is larger than 100, then change it and let the software choose the first number ???x100. If this makes no sense at all let me know and I will attempt to explain it in english....

Re: Avatar 101 ?
Yeah, I see it's automatic. My image was already screwed up somehow. I was
trying to re-size the image and somehow got it all distorted. I used an image from my parts truck and it's ok. Thanks for the info. 78K20 |
