New 87 K30 Project
Here is my latest project....1987 K30 454, NP205, 4.10 gears, etc etc. I will be doing a body swap on this one also. Most likely this complete blue body will be for sale in the near future unless someone local buys it first. It is in pretty solid shape rust wise and would only need rockers. I'll be buying a crate 502 engine and a 4" lift for this one also.
I'm looking for some 8 lug aluminum wider wheels, big block exhaust manifolds, new style air conditioning compressor brackets for big block and etc it anyone has any leads. |

Dang! That is sweeeeet!
I've got a pair of stock manifolds that came off an 89 1 ton 2wd, I will try to dig up pics for you. I don't know if the 2wd manifolds are different, I would imagine they are. I just might have the air conditioning bracket(s). I'm pretty sure I do. I will check tonight and get you pics.

Sounds good. I'm not sure what the differences are in these big block manifolds. I'd love to see a picture of a K30 with factory manifolds. Maybe I can make the ones you have work.
I'm not sure where the air conditioning bracket would have been on a 87 K30 either. I'm moving my C20 body over on it which has A/C but on a 350. Surely it would work? Like the silicon header patch the previous owner did? Like that stopped all the 101 leaks. My email address is djhauck@fuse.net. Last edited by Dean; 10-11-2005 at 12:44 PM. |

Re: New 87 K30 Project
It looks like I'm in need of a frame crossmember for a 1 ton. Need the crossmember under the bed that goes across by the front of the rear springs. Needs to be a 1 ton since the frame is taller than a 3/4 ton. My C20 has part of the same crossmember but not all of it.
Also, does anyone know what the wire does going to the NP205 transfer case? light? lockout? |

Re: New 87 K30 Project
Dang, that is a sweet setup - one of these days a lift just has to find its way into my shop! Glad to see progress is going well. Do you think the manifolds I sent you will be useable?
