finally--have washer operation..*pics*
As a continuation of this thread:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=180693 (Thanks PJmoreland and Putter) For the first time since I have owned this truck (7 years) , my windshield can be sprayed with washer fluid!!! Here are some pics of the conversion....works great!!! Beats trying to get under the dash to fix the sprayer...

what did you use never seen a pump like that before and did you get it hooked up to the switch ok?

It is the stock 71 truck bottle, with a late 70s/early 80s german washer pump (from an Audi or BMW...can't quite remember). The pump was kinda 'snuggled' (did I just use that word!!) into the original bottle/reservoir,
Yes i got it working with the chevy switch (washer/wiper combo) per the instructions provided in the other thread (link in post above).... I used an old 14mm socket, heated with a propane torch, then pushed into the trucks reservoir to make the hole for the pump. No leaks and works great....way more volume than the original..... Tim

now you dont need to drive so close to the yellow line and hope the on coming truck or car sprays water on windsheild to keep it clear lol i know i dont have washers either but i dont drive it in the rain that much anyway i hate when rain get in my scoop
