crossmenber help
Like many of you guys iam trying to get as much info as i can on a crossmenber drop. IAM working on a 70 chevy short bed stepside, I have the rear done is all bag and working fine. the front i have bag also and drop spindles, the problem i have is that the back is lower than the front when is air out. The rear with sit on groung the front wont, I found a link in here I think it was from a site call www.jayspot.com . my ? is, has anybody done i crossmenber like this or what do you guys think about it or what would be the best way to do a crossmenber.I dont know if the guy in jayspot had any problems with the steering. As soon as i can figure out how to post pics i will.

to me it looks like he just raised the mounting point of the air bags. The crossmember itself stayed in the same location. If your lca's are keeping you from going any lower then that mod wont help you

$385 + $75 (unless you supply the core) + shipping (typically has been $30-$50).
The steering issues are going to be the same as any drop method. You will have to u-joint the steering rod around the upper control arm as noted in the link above.
