Wanted: Heat tube???
I've called every junk yard nearby I could think of, and I believe the people on the other end of the line were laughing at me, but I've had no luck finding that tube that runs from the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner on an '88 4.3 TBI engine. My truck seems fine now, but when the weather gets colder I'd like to make a comparison between "with and without". If anyone has an extra, I'll buy. Even if it's in your junk pile, I'm not proud.I know most people call it a "part that's in the way", but what's its real name, if it has one?

the parts stores around here carry them, universal flexible ones and you just need to buy the right diameter for your truck.

Never thought of a universal. I'll try a few parts stores in the morning. Been a long time since I messed with an older vehicle. Thanks.

John, if you still need the flexible heat tube for your truck I'll send ya mine, I live in Florida and installed an Air raid system, so I took off the entire stock air system.
