A welcome to the board from down south. I spent 14 days on the Rouge river back in 1984, beautiful country up there.

longhornmail- ya, ive read that thread quite a few times Too bad my motor isn't as pretty as yours(im probably just going to paint the valve covers black just to break up all the RED) is that the Stock Intake on the motor in your Avatar? How did you get it to look so good?

72back2nu & Pont- Nice to see some fellow Oregonians on here, I sure thought there would be more on this site. You see more 67-72's around here than you can count RED

I had to look at the bed again...I thought you just switched the tailights...I will have to pay more attention next time...LOL! A neighbor has a '73-'87 stepside bed on his '69. I had only seen the back of it so thought it was a '75-'87. He will be selling it as soon as he finishes his landscaping but is just way to proud of it for the prices around here. Nice truck you have there.

If your engine is clean, you can detail it in the chassis...just pull the front clip, and wrap alluminum foil over your chassis and then paint your engine..really helps alot when showing it off.
I put the valve covers and intake off of a 472, but they are stock...I just painted it silver becouse I ran out of blue, and it looks alluminum, which makes it faster...right? it kinda breaks up all that blue too.

I like the looks of your pickup. I've been toying with using the '73 and up rear fenders on my '67 because steel repops aren't available and my old ones are junk. However I do agree with Brabra that since the wheel well openings don't match it is noticeable. I still don't know what to do. Good luck on your project and welcome from NW Iowa!!
