Question turn signal question - blinker stinkers

Hello,

I just replaced my wiring harnesses in my 67 (the two under the hood and the entire fuse box cluster) as well as a new instrument cluster with new GM wiring harnesses. I had this problem with my old harness and cluster --

When I put the left turn signal on in blinks accordingly with the dash cluster, when I turn on the right turn signal my high beam indicator blinks. When I turn on my High beams my right turn signal indicator stays lit up until I take it off high beam.

It's all new wiring harnesses and instrument cluster and it is doing the same thing. Main reason I changed it out was because I didn't even have high beam and the wires were chopped all to hell.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated, I have run out of ideas and resources.

Thank you very much.

Re: turn signal question - blinker stinkers

Your high beam (light green) wire is in the wrong slot in u-shaped connector from turn signal switch. ( you still have the same turn signal- right?) To fix just swap the l. green with the dark blue (right turn signal) wire in u-shaped connector. Need more help just ask. (above infro carries no warrenty)

Re: turn signal question - blinker stinkers

Is the U shaped connector in the steering column under the steering wheel or is it the main plug for the steering column? Yes I do have the same turn signal assembly.

Thank you, this really helps.

Re: turn signal question - blinker stinkers

Everything that comes out of the steering is in a connector on left side of column. Do a color to color match where they plug together. --blue to blue white to white etc. I believe that you will find it is what a said in 1st post as you have eliminated any problem elsewhere.
