Doctor, I think I pulled my engine!
Finally, it is done.
I'll have a full writeup with tons of pics by this evening. Now I am just waiting for Home Depot to open at 6AM - I don't have the right bolts to mount it to the engine stand! I might wind up taking an hour or two of vacation tomorrow morning to get this job done. What the hell, I'll just take the whole day off. I have earned it. Congrats...I just yanked one on my 70, but it came out a whole lot easier, since the entire front end was gone. Be looking forward to seeing more.

WAY TO GO!!! looks like you are making progress.... Not sure if you already know this but its best to use Grade 5 or better bolts. Dont know if HomeDepot will have them. Standard Grade might be fine but getting the strongest bolt possible is always better. Glad the hoist and leveler worked out for you. Cant wait to see more pictures. Thomas

Re: Doctor, I think I pulled my engine!
Ace hardware actually has the best bolt selection of any chain hardware store I've ever been to.
Congrats on your success. The fun part is sticking an engine back in

Re: Doctor, I think I pulled my engine!
I'm just happy to get my big hunk of balls back into my truck without the assistance of my hoist
Nice hoist, bucket
