I went to harbor freight the other day, they had a little heater that plugs into your cigarette lighter and heats the floor or the windshiled of your truck. It cost $6, wiring up the cigarette lighter cost me $14, (but I needed that to charge my phone anyway).
Anyway, I just thought I would tell others about it, if you use your truck in the winter, this is awesome, had 2/3'rds of my windshield defrosted (even the outside ice) in about 5-7 mins. and the truck heat was dumped to the floor to keep my truck toasty for when I got in.

yes, its cheap and kinda cheesy looking, but I pull it out from under my seat when I need it, and toss it back under when I am done.....cheaper than buying an upgrade to my heater fan.

You'll need to look at your wire connections to the lighter from time to time...and NEVER leave that sucker plugged in unattended.

After re-reading my rospond, it sounds kinda rude.... it was not intended to be that way.
Low buck.. I'm all about that
keeping warm... yeah, i been freezin by butt off all season, just can't seem to warm up.
However, as I mentioned, watch your stuff. These things draw quite a few amps, and they do cause fires from time to time.

I used decentl gauge wires for the cigarette lighter install, and it has an inline 15amp fuse (didn't just wire it directly to the battery like the instructions suggested). I feel pretty safe with the thing sitting on my metal dash, the heat it puts out is no where near enough to melt plastic (but its ceramic lined anyway). The heat seems to be just enough to soften the ice, and thats all I need in the mornings.....so I think the marshmellows will have to wait......maybe if I got really dilligent with the cigarette lighter in traffic though
