Header bolts w/ Accessories
I am trying to put my Factory A/C back together and need some suggestions on what to do about the header bolts. I have bought the Hedman adapter for mounting the A/C compressor on the right side of the engine and it works out perfectly. My problem is that I have to use a 3/8"x16x1" bolt which places the 12 point head right next to the header tube which is a real pain to get a wrench onto. Can anyone suggest a better fix for this.
Thanks, |

Have you looked at the ARP header bolts? They use a 3/8" head and are very strong. Good luck and keep on truckin'!......Jerry

I tried that but the head was too big to clear the header tube.

Buy a set of "long" header bolts. I ran that same bracket on my Heddmans for 10 years, but switched to 2 1/2" rams horns and the factory bracket. FYI, don't lose your original like I did, cost $60 to replace...
