coil spring air bags
has anyone tried this type of air bag (spring)? air ride makes these to fit inside a front or rear coil spring. I have 4 inch dropped coils on the rear with 1 1/2 inch lowering blocks. not planning on doing any hardcore towing, just thought this might be a simple way to keep the back end of the burb from dragging if I want to tote a trailer or put a load in the back. just add air for towing occasions and run the bags at empty or minimum pressure for everyday driving. just looking for anyone's personal experiences with these. thanks, steve

A lot of guys with newer lowered SUV's use them.

Re: coil spring air bags
I'm sure the kit will do exactly what you are expecting of it...another option might be to get a pair of 2600lb. bags to replace your coils and just run some 1/4" line to your gas door with a schrader valve to inflate and deflate them as needed...don't know how much the kit you are looking at is, but I'm guessing your could do the bag idea for prolly $150 or so...

Re: coil spring air bags
CCP sells a kit that bolts up behind the ladder bars. They are made for light towing. The kit was real nice and easy to bolt up.
