PWR steering conversion question

My '69 350 has manual steering and I am thinking about converting to pwr. steering. It has a short water pump and the lower pulley is currently a single groove. My question is, don't I need a 2 groove lower pulley for the conversion? In a pwr. steering article I read about this conversion they used a "big block" pulley for the lower pulley. Is this the way to go? I saw an Ebay auction for a kit, but I noticed they only have the single groove pulley that bolts onto the pwr steering pump. Thanks very much for any info.

Re: PWR steering conversion question

The crank pulley needs two grooves, but the ps pump only one. Everything I have seen has alt on groove nearest block and fan pulley. PS runs on second groove on crank only. I got my parts from a board member and will install as soon as the temps get out of the 20's. Where in Denton are you? I'm in Lewisville.
