factory '67 grill color Q
Hey guys, was wondering: Was the factory color for 67 grills always the same as the body color, or did they also come white/other color?
thanks, RainDog

My truck is light green and the grill and the pots around the lights are white. Most are chrome.

is kinda complicated subject at first:
optionally B98 ordered and Z62 and Z84 ordered trucks got white painted grille with bright aluminum grille opening moldings and fender eyebrows and headlamp bezels, alot of 67 std pain jane trucks got body color painted grilles with white grille openming moldings and light bezels, alot of 68 std plain jane trucks got silver/gray painted grille with white grille opening moldings and light bezels, my 67 C30 plain jane was white moldings and bezels with body color grille my first 68 C-10 pickup was B98 truck with white painted grille and bright grille trim and bezes and eyebrows and, the optional B98 bright body side and rear moldings, it was not a custom Z62 or cst Z84 had a 68 C30 plain jane that was gray grille with white bezels and grille moldings had another 68 C10 that was plain jane with gray grille and white grille moldings and bezels the plain jane trucks most always got saddle/tan colored painted interior metal and gray grille the B98 and Z62 and Z84 trucks most always got body color- or another color other than saddle/tan- painted interior metal and white grille with bright grille trim and bezels and eyebrows -------------------------- white, gray or body color were the three different ways grilles were painted. -------------- never have seen original truck with white grille without bright grille trim moldings and bezels and never original truck with gray grille with bright grille trim moldings and bezels and eyebrows and havent seen original truck with body color painted grille with bright grilel trim and bezels and eyebrows good luck Last edited by Fast68Chevy; 09-09-2002 at 04:07 PM. |

My 68 had white grille openings, chrome headlight bezels and silver inside the grille openings.

I don't think '67s got eyebrows/hood trim.

SAME-HERE! Hood and eyebrow trim was 68-only and always chrome if it was so equipped. The larger area between the openings and around the openings was always white or silver-grey on the 68's and always body colored on the 67's as far as I've observed. I've seen some very basic original 68's with chrome trim and white face too.
