I am looking for the crankshaft pulley for my 72 350 that I added power steering to. Hope someone can help me out. I need the two grove pulley my motor came with the single grove since it was manual steering.

I haven't worked with a short pump in ages but I do have a ton of pulleys. Would either of you be able to pick out the pulleys you need if I take pics and post them?

You're kind of walking on the original poster. It's ettiquette to not chime in with your needs on someone elses thread when he's asking for stuff for himself. It's more considerate to post your own thread asking for the parts you need.

Anyway, the power steering pulley is normally an add on secondary pulley. The power steering actually runs on the third groove, not the second. The alternator is first groove, A/C is second groove, and power steering is third groove. The power steering pulley simply stacks onto the normal pulley, whether it's a single or double groove. This pulley will index on the raised lips on the main pulley, and you use longer bolts in the harmonic balancer.

Re: WTB: Pulleys

well considering he posted it for me I kind of am not. He is my friend and asked him to post. I was just clarifying what I need. Thanks for the info though. Ya I have the original pulley's somewhere. I put some other pulley's on the motor for now but they are not the right ones. I would like to purchase the right ones.

I just need the pulley that stacks on top of the original crank shaft pulley. If you have it I will pay for it to be shipped. If it is cheap enough I would be interested in the whole set with all the pulley's for the power steering just to make sure I have the right ones.

I don't think I'd come out and say that someone posted and ad for you to avoid having to pay the fee.

This board is well worth the money to have full privleges. It's a great bargain.

Re: WTB: Pulleys

Sorry about this..I was helping my friend..'BigEZ' work on the truck I sold him. And I told him I was active on this board that was a great resource for that era trucks. I told him I would put a want to buy ad for the pulleys he needed, and after doing so, he viewed it and registered. Sorry for this mishap. If need be Mods may delete this post.
