N.O.S. harness for sale - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

For those guys who restore their trucks to original factory specs. here is a must have item. I was going to put it on E-bay, but don't feel like dealing with that mess. Harness is a N.O.S. transmission spark switch control for 72 chevy series 10 1/2 ton with 350 auto tranny. This part is obsolete.
Will sell for $55 + $5 shipping

I'm not sure. I will post pictures. The superceded part number as of June 1986 was 8906234, if that helps. I will get back with you soon.

I think the spark control harness is used on some 71's and all 72's and is the single harness that plugs into a dual relay just to the right of the master cylinder and goes over to the engine to control the vacuum advance cold cutoff and maybe the idle solenoid?

That makes sense. I talked with the parts guru that I purchased my inventory from and he said it has something to do with how the trasmission shifted related to engine speed. The harnesses on my 72 were hacked when I got it, so I wasn't sure what all the harness plugged in to. I appreciate the input.

That is correct. This is a harness that is still in the original paper packaging from GM. It has never been used. I can send you pictures if you would like.

So far 71-Longbed and 72 Super are the only two that sound like they want to but the harness. 71-Longbed has first dibs. If he doesn't want it, 72 Super has next shot at it.
