From a guy that has owned both short fleets and steps and a blazer, I love the looks of the step-side best. I love everything about the step-sides except until it comes time to wash it. The fleet sides take less time and you do not have to worry about water under the curls of the bed rails.
But like it has been already stated: To each his/her own! Dean PS: Enjoy your new bed. Good score!
