changing my front clip
I have a '72 C20 that I am in the process of putting together. The fenders are pretty messed up. A guy told me I can have the whole front clip off of his '67. Will the front clip bolt on with no problems? Will the body lines match? This is a perfect front clip rust free with no dents, so I am going to take it either way, I just want to know if there is anything I should be aware of when I go to put it on...

Re: changing my front clip
If you're getting the "entire" front clip (fenders, hood, radiator support, grill, hood latch, and Center brace for grill), then yeah everything will bolt up and lines match.

Yes, if you are getting the hood and everything, it will fit. I am working on a 67 and I prefer the 67 hood and fenders without the side lights.

THe only things you'll need to know...
The fenders won't have side market lights...which may or may not be an issue on anual inspections (if your area even does this) but would look kinda funny with lights in back and none up front. And also, if you can get his front bumper too, that would solve the problem of having the turn signals in the bumper and in the grill too. |
