Wheel base on short and long beds

What are the wheel base lenght on sb and long beds and do the duallies come in those same wheel bases? Can I get a dually flatbed and put a short or long bed on it with stepside sides on them? OR will the wheel base be different and I will need to modify the bed? I hope this makes sense. I am thinking of taking a one ton flat bed and making it into a beded dually

Thanks for your help
Jeff

Re: Wheel base on short and long beds

SWB 115 inches
LWB 127 inches
Dualie 133 or 157 inches
Longhorn/9 foot step side.... 133 inches

If you get a one ton stepsidebed, or a longhorn bed, you can toss it on a 133 inche dualie. The stock rear end on these duallie trucks doesn't place the 2 added tires out, but rather in. The track width is only an inch wider than a single rear wheel trucks. So added senders won't be needed, just larger wheel tubs.
