step side steps...

my brother has an 86 shortbed stepside and his bed steps are rusted out.... he said he wanted the chrome ones to replace em but he cant afford them.... or find them for that matter. i know i've seen them in lmc but i cant find a magazine anywhere. if possible could one of you guys gimme a part # or something so i can order them on their site? that way i could at least give him a receipt for x-mas. so yea, im looking for those front bed steps in chrome. awesome, thanks!

Re: step side steps...

a recent thread discussed this: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...t=chrome+steps

seems like the only way to really get them is to buy the steps and have them chromed... seems to be a pricey investment!

Re: step side steps...

I know that someone sells them. I have chrome ones, but I got them 20 yrs ago and when they started to rust I painted them. Now I want the chrome back. I saw them about a year ago, can't remember where. I should have bought them when I had the chance. It think it was in one of the parts books that I have, Year one, LMC, or JC Whitney. I will look again. If you click on the link in my signature, you can see where I painted most of it and left just the bottom edge chrome
