72 Blazer I just bought

The first picture was my Blazer when I sold it to a good friend about 5 years ago. The second picture is what it looks like now, as I just bought it back from him. The reason it looks so bad now is because it was stolen from him, then recovered about 2 months later, and they had begun disassembling it and were trying to sell parts. He did get back all of the parts and now I'm ready to start restoring the old girl.....wish me luck!!

Re: 72 Blazer I just bought

My Buddy is a GM mechanic and did a bunch of mechanical work to it. Rebuilt motor and tranny, added lower gears and 4 wheel disk brakes. He also purchased a rust free windshield frame, 2 bedsides, new bumpers and door shells, a decent set of front fenders and a body mount kit. I'm really excited to get it done! Just gotta find me a bodyshop who will work on it!

Nothing like a truck with history. Glad to see you got it back, not too much the worse for the wear.

Re: 72 Blazer I just bought

Glad it was recovered. My '72 almost met that same fate a few weeks ago when someone tried to steal it from my driveway in the middle of the night.
